A great thank-you goes out to all the Hams who helped pull off the "Banff Jasper Relay race, the Ghosts of the Gravel Extreme bike race, and the MS Bike Marathon", with 2 more still to go this summer.  

So far over 1000 event participants, not even including all the organizers and other volunteer staff got to see about 55 or so Ham Volunteers help pull off Safety, communications, Participant rescue and transportation, even supply drops and storage for these events to come off successfully.

They took their own time (vacation time for some), vehicles, monies and equipment to come together and show off the best of HAM radio in ACTION.   We could not have done it without you guys, and gals.  

A big thanks to CARA for the use of the COMMS trailer where it was deployed, many got to get a glimpse of the trailer and our crews and asked the question, what is Ham Radio All about?    

Great team-building and comradery was had, and tons of great memories helping these events make a difference - which is part of what we do simply because it's "in our blood", so to speak.   You are REAL Volunteers.

And again, thank you all who came and endured the mud, isolation at times, hail, snow, rain, more rain, Black Bears all with a smile and cold coffee. 

Lastly to our own Ham organizers and event go-betweens, how the hell did you pull all that off? :)    Have a great summer ...
